What i sent to my boss with the tedious monthly report

Things more interesting than completing the monthly report:

* getting numbers together to refute a "are we having more earthquakes than usual" question
* responding to someone who thinks we're related based on the Y-DNA testing of my grandfather and explaining that our most recent common ancestor is most likely before 1600 (and before last names were in use).
* watching the third DVD on National Parks
* watching Greycie Loo chase bugs and play with Edward
* getting copies of the wage gauge plots for Santa Monica, Monterey, and a Hawaiian bay
* reading the Prop 8 case's plantif's proposed "statement of fact" and wondering how the Proponents of Prop 8 could put forth the so-called expert they put forth,
* starting and crashing Citrix (this can't be due to load)
* writing this list
* being glad i'm not going to Dublin over my birthday (that only occured to me at this moment while i was recognizing that i manage to procrastinate a beautiful Saturday away)
* hoping you have a good trip to Dubin!

Who can blame you for not wanting to be away on your birthday? :) Nevertheless, we have Jeni's. In fact, I might be going to that very Jeni's this afternoon after working at the Wrong Branch.
