I'm reading and thinking of you all but no comment cycles are available.

Kibbles -- i know healing does take energy, and i was trying to take it easy, but who knew i could react to chewing mochi?

Take care!

Today was a 7 to 4:45 blast of work. I had to reschedule one meeting for tomorrow (and will therefore have a commute), and oh, goodie, we'll meet in the office on Friday.

I came home tightly wound because i had not had a break. We sat on the deck, and i nibbled something and just let go. Then we hoofed it downtown to pick up one of my prescriptions, and almost two mile walk. I need these walks, i can tell. We stopped in the Asian market and i bought three boxes of mochi and two avocados.

At home, we had the black beans Christine had cooked from dry (no spices, but lots of onion and celery): i took the old tortillas from the fridge, cut them into strips and zapped them with bean juice, then mixed the tortilla strips, avocado, and sour cream into the black beans with a touch of cumin (Thanks Laughingrat). Then i had two of the brown sugar sesame mochi, a soft pastry made from rice flour surrounding a intense fruit or nut paste center. ("Daifukumochi (大福餅?), or Daifuku (大福?) (literally "great luck"), is a Japanese confection consisting of a small round mochi (glutinous rice cake) stuffed with sweet filling,") The brown sugar was more molasses-y than brown sugar, and i realized how much i wanted a sugar rush.

I'm doing chewing more often -- and after eating i realized that the inside of my cheak and my lip was swelling up. For crying out loud! Christine blames the mochi, as not a usual part of my diet, but i wonder if it's the mechanical abrasion.

I'm not pleased.
