The family visit was just lovely and quite nice at 30 hours. I wish i could have left later in the morning and not been quite so disruptive of my parents' sleep, but the noon arrival at SFO is letting me reorient for Monday at work. During the visit we'd talked and played and shared: a lovely summer Saturday. There *are* more things they wanted to do with me: the hall in the guest room was filled with seven boxes of my stuff that had been kept in the attic.

I'm a little daunted by the array of boxes: but over a much longer visit it will be fun to go through, as long as i'm not asked to fly anything back to California. I do think it will be good to release the toys to the nephews and niece.

* mandrake did the mac equivalent of blue screen of death twice when using the air card at my folks' place in the middle of no where. The download speed was painfully slow. At O'Hare, it was a zippy joy.

* ring finger psoriasis flare has passed the blister stage and is more like elbows. Will use bandaid and steroid cream tonight.
