In cat news: i think Mr M is intimidated by Edward, Greycie Loo is intimidated by Mr M, and Edward is intimidated by Greycie Loo. Also, i'm getting Greycie Loo snuggles with Christine out of the house, so i feel a little better about how Greycie Loo lavishes attention on Christine. She does like me! (And i'd lavish attention on Christine, too.)
Speaking of which, Christine has some huge pickup truck and has had an intense day.
Evening Review
Give thanks, share beauty, note joy:
playing with all the cats and getting snuggles, a phone call with my sister where i recounted the triumph of the table
Noteworthy events (dining out, errands, correspondence):
Doctor's appointment: she didn't know anything about food sensitivities, wasn't really able to make a referral to a nutritionist. Not a surprise.
Yams: hazardous waste appointment
Yays: not an effective day
"Not Care Less" and paralysis hacks: watching something did help me shake the bad mood, but i didn't move on very well
Health:
Sunday: egg, bread; soup; pie & yogurt; almonds; fish & roasted veggies
Monday: egg, bread, broccoli & small soup; almonds; pie & yogurt; cheese & crackers, grapes, kettle corn, lettuce, pickles, vicken patty, ranch dressing
Pondering: mental and physical health, the interactions, the effect. Also, in talking with my sister, the lessons we were taught about caring for our physical ailments and healing: Mom is not willing to take antihistamines for her chronic rhinitis because she doesn't want to have to take a pill every day. I *get* this, but i'm trying to unlearn it. The complete willingness to blow through any physical signal, will past any physical symptoms...

The second book was much more balanced in how far it extrapolated from the positive effects observed by folks who try to address atopic symptoms by identifying particular food sensitivities.
It's time consuming to diagnose the sensitivities correctly, and doesn't easily extrapolate to clinical trials.
So, if anything, her naiveté was ... i dunno. She still seems like she's mainly been trained in guarding specialists. I'd heard from others in the same clinic that the staff does not accept food sensitivities as a possible cause of atopic symptoms and it was impossible to get support, so it was more of a due diligence step.
