Gosh, time is just slipping away from me. Friday, I spent as i did Wednesday, just reading novels. I could swear there is a Liaden universe novel ... ha! I finally figured out the right search terms to turn up the book i remembered. Well, there's a seventh novel to read over this break. I was delighted to reread the novels: reading them so close together i can see the full design that appear to merely be little threads that of decorative detail against which the plot each novel is rendered. And, i am NOT a very good reader -- rereading shows me that.

I am trying to focus on the pleasure of the reading and not my irritation of more lovely days passing with me on the couch and not outside. The cough continues. Monday i will be checking to see if the referral has gone through and following up if it has not.

And... there, having discovered the novel i wanted to read, i have read it.

I used to do audio books when i commuted. It was a welcome transition from work to home. And i would do laps in parking lots for exercise listening to them. Now i have no commute and my walks are in the woods or with our pup and not squeezed into a hotel or apartment parking lot - so i rarely listen now. I wish i could get back in a crafting practice - - some crochet lent itself to listening at the same time.

I do wonder about people who "multi task" listening and doing something at the same time. There are very few somethings that i feel i can do while listening. (Not all driving is good for me to do while listening!)

I listen to music and have found it interesting that the type of music that was played at work tends to get me moving and more motivated to get things done LOL
I guess I've been well trained. There's no way I can do audio books like I said - singing and "dancing" along to the music works for me
my brother listens to audio books in the car!! I had to ask him to stop when I was with him, it made me nervous
